Club Duathlon Final details

Please note: We are NOT using South Hanningfield
Village Hall, do not go to this location as another
group has hired it. The Start, Transition and Parking
is at WEST HANNINGFIELD Village Hall, Church Rd
West Hanningfield. Please be there for 9 am.

This is fun event that’s a break from the norm of just running, there’s a few that will be looking to do a good time but remember to bring a smile and enjoy yourself, and ride safely at all times, there’s not much traffic about Sunday mornings, but there’s often cars speeding, particularly on Middlemead/South Hanninfield Rd. Oh, and dont forget, as Mike always used to say, the success of the Duathlon depends upon a strong buffet afterwards, so bring some good food!

• Race briefing will be at 9:20 in the field behind the
Village Hall
• Race Start time 9:30am
• Entry Fee £3:00—TEAMS £5
• You will need to pay and collect your number from the
Hall before the briefing.
Numbers to be worn on your front, teams require runners
number only.
• CYCLE HELMET required.
• Officially this is a A TIMED TRAINING EVENT, since it isn’t
officially sanctioned, therefore all runners/riders are
expected to adhere to the highway code and run/ride in a
courteous and safe manner. Running shall be on
footpaths ONLY.
• Will have maps of bike course available and will be
driving the course at 9am. There will be signs and a map
• Still need another couple of helpers!!
• Helpers please report at 8:30am on the day, and wear
Benfleet colours—NO HIGH VIS.
• Finally please bring sandwiches, cakes and nibbles,
for the buffet/awards presentation afterwards in the hall.
